Located on exclusive Longboat Key, this charming resort with a private club atmosphere is set on 18 beautifully landscaped acres with miles of white sand beaches directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Natural wood villas, one and two-bedroom suites, include living/dining room, full kitchenette and marble bath with whirlpool spa and steam shower. Gourmets delight in the variety of restaurants available at the Colony.

Fresh flowers and tropical plants welcome you to a spacious one-or two-bedroom suite, decorated with comfortable and stylish furnishings and fabrics. With nearly 800 sq. ft. (one-bedroom) and over 1,200 sq. ft. (two-bedroom) each suite has a living room, dining area, full kitchen (complete with microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with ice-maker). 
The marble master bath has its own mini-spa of whirlpool bath and steam shower. A separate mirrored dressing area features a lighted make-up mirror and hair dryer and a selection of exclusively designed, all natural bath amenities. 
Two color televisions, an in-room safe, private sun balcony and daily maid service make your suite a true home away from home. 
The Colony's rustic and private beach houses, located directly on the powder white sands on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, feature two and three oversized bedrooms. In a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere, the comfortable beach side one-bedroom Lanais and Clubhouse suites are reserved exclusively for adult guests.

From organized beach games, swimming, fishing and shelling to creative art projects and tennis instruction, exciting field trips and a playground on the beach, enjoy the entire day!

The Colony's children's programs are designed to provide a day of sun -n- fun for children. A variety of indoor and outdoor activities are offered with qualified supervision.

BEACH & POOL ACTIVITIES

• The Colony offers a wide variety of services and amenities for the ultimate enjoyment of our white sand beach.
• You will find complimentary chaise lounges and thatched shade huts on the beach. Complimentary beach towels are available at the pool desk.
• A beach volleyball net is located on the north beach and the volleyball may be signed out for use by visiting the pool desk.
• Our tetherball and children's playground are located just south of the swimming pool.
• Our heated freshwater pool is located beachside, complete with complimentary towels. We offer adult swim time from 8 am - 9 am each morning. Hours: 8 am - Sunset.

WATERSPORTS

The Colony's watersports center has a variety of fun water toys including Hobie cats, windsurfers, kayaks, aqua cycles, boogie boards, rafts and snorkel sets all available for rent. Windsurfing lessons are available and bicycles may be rented on an hourly, daily or even weekly basis.
